On Tuesday 4 November, our Year 4 Band presented their final concert to an enthusiastic audience of families and the Year 3 cohort. The performance was truly impressive, especially considering the students have only been learning their instruments for nine months!
The program featured a diverse selection of repertoire explored throughout the year, including sectional showcases highlighting each part of the band, improvised jazz solos from talented individuals and energetic rock’n’roll pieces from our Creative Arts Night ‘Rock Festival’.

Now in its eleventh year, the College’s Year 4 Band Program continues to provide students with invaluable opportunities to uncover hidden talents and develop a lifelong passion for music. Our Junior Co-curricular ensembles are thriving, with more than 30 Year 4 students already participating in the Junior Concert Band.
We extend a big thank you to our dedicated music tutors for their expertise and commitment and to parents and classroom teachers for their ongoing support of our students’ musical journey. We look forward to many of these young musicians continuing with our ensembles next year and to meeting the next group of budding Year 4 performers in 2026.
