At the end of Term 2, students across Thomas Hassall Anglican College celebrated Unite Week, recognising the many cultures that make up our College community and the unity we share.
Throughout the week, Senior School students enjoyed a cultural food tasting, sampling cuisines from around the world, while both Junior and Senior School students learnt the Zorba dance in preparation for the week's celebrations. In Junior School, students also created colourful calico bags featuring their handprints, symbolising the many backgrounds represented across our community.
The week concluded with special assemblies and opportunities for students to come together in celebration. Senior School students enjoyed cultural dancing, food trucks and time spent as a community, while Junior School students gathered with their year groups to share in the festivities. Across the College, students also came together to cheer on the Socceroos as Australia took on Paraguay in the FIFA World Cup, sharing in the excitement and supporting our national team.
Unite Week was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the diversity of our College, reminding us that our different cultures, shared experiences and mutual respect strengthen us as one community.
