This term in Fruit Groups, our Prep children have been exploring “Then and Now” and how things have changed over time.
Over the past few weeks, we’ve been learning about toys and noticing how different they used to be. We discussed how old-fashioned toys were often made by hand using materials like wood, tin and porcelain, while today’s toys are usually made from plastic or rubber and created by machines.

We had lots of fun while making our own wooden peg dolls inspired by toys from the past. Each doll was completely unique, with its own expression and outfit.
It was wonderful to see our Prep children being creative while connecting with how children used to play long ago.
